Customer Success Stories Playbook
How I transformed scattered customer proof into a centralized, searchable Sales Enablement resource—consolidating 40 customer stories into one Seismic playbook that generated 120+ monthly views across a 250+ person Sales organisation.

Executive Summary
Customer success stories were scattered across locations and collateral, making them difficult for Sales to find and reuse. I designed and developed an interactive Customer Success Stories Playbook that centralized and organized proof around Sales needs, combining structured content, searchability, Seismic deployment, and a repeatable submission workflow
Audience
Sales representatives and employees across Europe and North America (~250+ reps).

My Role
Instructional Designer (Revenue Enablement)
Deliverable
Interactive Customer Success Stories Playbook in Seismic, including searchable customer-story library, taxonomy and metadata structure, navigation, interactive story presentation, and new-story submission workflow.
Key Result
120+ monthly views, with 25-30 unique monthly users, transforming fragmented customer proof into a centralized Sales resource.
Business Problem
Business Challenge
Customer success stories already existed—but their value was constrained by poor discoverability.
Stories were distributed across different locations and formats, meaning Sales reps could know that relevant customer proof existed without knowing where to find it or whether it matched their prospect's industry, challenge, or use case.

Poor Discoverability
Finding a relevant story could require manual searching across multiple locations, increasing the time and effort required to access useful customer proof.
Not Designed for Sales
Existing collateral was not consistently structured around the information Sales needed when preparing for a pitch, proposal, or customer conversation.
Fragmented Content
Customer stories were spread across different sources and marketing collateral rather than maintained in a single destination.
The opportunity wasn't simply to create another content repository. It was to turn customer knowledge into a searchable Sales Enablement system that helped reps find and use relevant proof faster.
Discovery and Analysis
I approached the problem from a Sales user-experience and knowledge-management perspective. Rather than organizing stories around where the original documents lived, I considered how a salesperson would actually search for customer proof. A rep is more likely to think: “I need a customer in this industry who solved this problem.” than: “Which folder contains the customer story I need?”
This led to three key findings:

Sales Needed Context, Not Just Documents
Reps needed to identify relevant stories based on customer context, industry, challenge, and use case—not simply browse a list of documents.
Needed to Support Future Growth
A one-time content migration would not solve the underlying problem. New stories needed a structured way to enter the system and remain discoverable.
Content Had Value, Structure Didn't
The organization already had useful customer evidence, but fragmented storage reduced its accessibility and practical value.
The core problem was therefore not content scarcity. It was the distance between a Sales need and the relevant customer proof.
Strategy & Rationale
I designed the solution around four principles:

1. Create a Single Source of Truth
Centralize customer stories within one Sales-facing destination rather than requiring reps to search multiple sources.
3. Optimize for Findability
Use taxonomy, metadata, search, navigation, and scannable presentation to reduce the effort required to identify relevant stories.
4. Design for Continuous Growth
Create a repeatable submission process so new customer stories could enter the system without recreating the original fragmentation problem.
2. Organize Around Sales Use Cases
Structure stories according to meaningful attributes that reflect how Sales searches for evidence.

Design Process
Information Architecture
I developed a structured taxonomy allowing Sales to browse and identify stories through meaningful attributes.
The architecture supported a simple journey:
Search → Filter → Identify → Access → Use
This shifted the library away from document-based organization toward Sales-oriented knowledge discovery.

Interactive Playbook Design
Rather than creating another static document, I designed an interactive Seismic experience optimized for:
Fast navigation
Searchability
Scannable customer information
Clear categorization
Easy access to underlying collateral
Practical Sales use
To make the system sustainable, I created a structured customer-story submission workflow.
I worked across Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing to consolidate customer knowledge, align on the information most valuable to Sales, and establish a structure that could serve multiple stakeholder groups.
This provided a consistent mechanism for adding new stories and created the foundation for ongoing governance around content quality, organization, and relevance.
Submission & Governance

The Solution
The finalized solution was a centralized Customer Success Stories Playbook deployed through Seismic.
Sales-Oriented Taxonomy
Stories were categorized using meaningful customer, industry, challenge, and use-case attributes to support faster discovery.

Searchable Customer Story Library
A single destination for Sales to discover relevant customer proof rather than searching across fragmented sources.

A structured intake process enabled new customer stories to be added consistently as the library grew.
Repeatable Submission Workflow
Seismic Integration
The resource was deployed within the existing Sales content ecosystem, reducing the need for reps to navigate to another disconnected system.
The Outcomes
The new playbook improved the accessibility, discoverability, and scalability of customer success knowledge across Sales.
